PORTAGE IS HOME
Arishya began serving her community at a young age and has continued to take on roles that demand preparation, responsibility and direct engagement with people.
As a former Youth City Councillor, entrepreneur and business executive, healthcare worker, community-board participant and provincial candidate, she understands both how public decisions are made and how those decisions affect families, workers and local organizations.
Her approach is straightforward: listen carefully, ask difficult questions respectfully, explain the trade-offs and measure whether promised results are actually delivered.
Make room for residents, local organizations and frontline experience before major decisions are finalized.
Examine costs, assumptions and consequences so public choices can withstand honest scrutiny.
Connect commitments to timelines, public updates and outcomes residents can clearly evaluate.
